Meet the crew!

Ali Green: Ali was born in Asheville, North Carolina. She is currently a student at A&T State University where she is working towards her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She would love to own a business of her own someday. She has two dogs of her own that she loves. She has a two yorkie poodles named Maddox and Zooey. Outside of work, Ali is involved in her school work and is a part of Pre-Vet club, she also volunteers at animal shelters.

Amy Steele: Amy was born and grew up in Weaverville, North Carolina. She has an Associates in Arts degree from AB Tech. She has previously had jobs involving medical assisting and catering. She has two dogs of her own, a pit lab mix named Brew and a German Shepard pit named Athena. In the future Amy would like to be involved with recreational management. Outside of work Amy likes to go camping, hiking, cooking and exploring Asheville.
Andrew Dehart: Andrew is a native to Asheville, North Carolina. In the past he has taken business classes at A.B. Tech. He has also volunteered at Brother Wolf with the sweet shelter animals. Andrew aspires to have his own animal business someday. Andrew has two dogs that he dearly loves, a beagle named Cookie and a blue heeler/pointer mix named Zora. Outside of work, Andrew likes to play with his dogs and play video games.
Ariel Edington:  Ariel was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. She is currently studying at Western Carolina University and hopes to graduate soon with her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She wants to be a orthopedic surgeon someday. She loves dogs and had a Rottweiler growing up named Rocky. In her free time Ariel likes shopping but she is usually catching up on her school work.

Curry Rollow: Curry was born in Northern Ohio and enjoyed the Great Lakes growing up. Curry had several foster dogs growing up and remembers a Great Dane/Chow mix named Warf fondly. Over the years Curry has done a wide variety of jobs including property management, teaching martial arts to youth and substitute teaching. In the future Curry would like to be able to be able to be a Reki practitioner and massage therapist for dogs. In her free time Curry likes to garden, read, hangout with her kids and family, and enjoys the live music that Asheville offers.
Derek Lovett: Derek was born in Orlando, Florida but grew up in Candler, North Carolina before he moved to Asheville. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in New Media from University of North Carolina at Asheville. He has always loved dogs and growing up he had a Papillon named Sammy and a mixed breed named Buddy. Derek aspires to have a career in web design or film. In his free time you can catch Derek hiking or camping. Also Derek likes to draw, read and play video games.

DJ Hardway: DJ was born in Ohio but grew up in several states in the south. He has been living in Asheville for the past 2-3 years. DJ previously has worked several jobs in customer service industry. He has three dogs of his own, a mini pincher named Sha$ha, pitbull lab mix named Hudson and a Shepherd heeler mix named Banksy. In his freetime DJ likes to hangout with his friends.

Jordan Whitmire: Jordan was born not too far away from Asheville in Horseshoe, North Carolina but spent his childhood in Raleigh, North Carolina. He would like to be a business owner someday and has taken classes at AB Tech. Jordan has two dogs that he loves. He has a Lab/Newfoundland mix dog named Tyrion and a Lab/Huskey mix named Ghost. Outside of work, Jordan likes to play music and hangout with his friends.

Joshua Vogel: Joshua was born in Corpus Christi, Texas but grew up in the mountains of Boone, North Carolina. Joshua had many dogs growing up and had a greyhound named Joker that he remembers fondly. Joshua has many years experience in caregiving. Before working at Urban Dog Retreat Joshua was providing one on one care through Buncombe County and previously was a caregiver at Hillside house. Joshua hopes to be homeowner in the near future with his fiance. On his free time you can find Joshua hiking around Asheville or reading.

Kianna Denton: Kianna was born and raised in Santa Paula, California and was there until a year ago when she moved to Asheville. Kianna has had previous experience caregiving at a nursing home. Before that she was in 4H and spent a lot of time raising goats. Kianna hopes to be a vet tech one day and enjoys the experience in caring for dogs she is receiving working for Urban Dog Retreat. Kianna would like to own dogs of her own someday and fondly remembers her dogs Bella, Popeye and Buddy from childhood. In her freetime Kianna likes to read, hangout with her friends and family.

Kiera Leslie: Kiera grew up in Asheville, North Carolina. She has previously worked as a dog bather, worked at canine superior and canine social club. She has a shitzu of her own named Shiitake, In the future Kiera would love have a career doing wildlife rehabilitation, she was inspired by her Dad who worked at a zoo while she was growing up. In her time she likes to hike swim, listen to live music, and hangout with her friends and family.

Sarah Barham: Sarah grew up in Binghamton, New York but has been in Asheville for the past 8 years. She has previously worked in food service industry and has spent a lot of her time volunteering for a vet clinic. In the future, Sarah would like to be a vet and continue working with animals. She has a dog of her own named Peanut who is a chihuahua. Outside of work Sarah likes to hangout with Peanut, go to movies, play video games and spend time with her friends and family.

MEET our Groomer!

Shannon Hauck: Shannon grew up in Toms River, New Jersey. She has fourteen years experience as a groomer. She trained for a year by a master groomer and is also certified in Canine Massage Therapy. She aspires to continue to grow Touch of Grace Pet Spa to its fullest potential. When Shannon is not making the dogs look great she is hanging out with two of her own dogs, Prudence a pitbull and Chance a redbone hound mix. Shannon in her free time likes to go hiking and swimming with her daughter Grace and her dogs. She also likes to spend time with her friends and family.
